Dr. Kumar is a renowned global health strategist and epidemiologist whose impactful work spans outbreak response, health research, and strengthening health systems in the U.S. and Southern Africa. She is widely recognized for championing fairness and inclusion in health through her training and research initiatives.

DAY 2 : AHILA Congress 2025 Keynote Spotlight: Prof. TryWell Kalusopa

We are proud to announce that Professor Trywell Kalusopa, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) at the University of Zambia, will be one of the esteemed keynote speakers at the AHILA Congress 2025, taking place from 30th September to 4th October 2025 at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre, Lusaka, Zambia.

Professor Kalusopa is a distinguished scholar and leader in research, innovation, and higher education governance across Southern Africa. With academic and leadership experience at institutions such as the University of Zambia, University of Namibia, and University of Botswana, he brings a wealth of knowledge in information science, labour research, digital governance, and policy development. He is the founding Executive Director of the Zambia Institute for Labour Research and Development (ZILARD). He has worked extensively with global and regional organisations, including the ILO, SADC, AU-APRM, and ITUC-Africa.
As an established researcher, mentor, and academic rated by the National Research Foundation (NRF) of South Africa, Professor Kalusopa has made significant contributions to research outputs that have shaped labour and social protection policies in Africa.
